David appointed some of the Levites to be ministers before the ark of the Lord, to celebrate the Lord God of Israel,
and to give thanks and praise to him.
1 Chronicles 16:4
West Lonsdale Baptist Church is a small congregation situated near the inner city of Knoxville. We recently celebrated a century of ministry in our community and look forward to what God will do through us in the future.
Musically, we have seen many changes over the years. We began with a traditional/southern gospel style and transitioned a number of years ago to a fully developed music ministry with graded choirs, handbells, etc. With the arrival of contemporary Christian music, we have seen a gradual shift to the more modern blended worship style. Most recently, we have incorporated an acoustic praise team style of worship leading.
We sing a variety of music from sources such as: the Gettys, Matt Maher, Chris Tomlin, CityAlight, Zach Williams, Travis Cottrell, Phil Wickham, Bethel Music, All Sons & Daughters, Chris McClarney, etc. as well as contemporary arrangements of beloved hymns.
Our praise team is currently seeking a Worship Intern to assist primarily with playing acoustic guitar for worship services.
