About WLBC:
West Lonsdale Baptist Church is a small congregation situated in near the inner city of Knoxville. We recently celebrated a century of ministry in our community and look forward to what God will do through us in the future.
Musically, we have seen many changes over the years. We began with a traditional/southern gospel style and transitioned a number of years ago to a fully developed music ministry with graded choirs, handbells, etc. With the arrival of contemporary Christian music, we have seen a gradual shift to the more modern blended worship style. Most recently, we have incorporated an acoustic praise team style of worship leading. Since Covid, we have not had a Worship Choir but hope to reestablish it in the near future.
We sing a variety of music, including modern worship songs and hymns as well as contemporary arrangements of beloved hymns. We draw from sources such as: the Gettys, Matt Maher, Chris Tomlin, CityAlight, Zach Williams, Travis Cottrell, Phil Wickham, Bethel Music, All Sons & Daughters, Chris McClarney, etc.
